RE: [PSUBS-MAILIST] International Submarine Races

Chris,

Good luck to you and your team.  Graduated from OE at FAU in 84 and supported Dr. Mac and the FAUboat team as an alumnus when it first came out to California and set a world’s record in the early 90’s  Haven’t been to Cradderock but understand that is a great facility.  Hopefully the Canadians and Omer will not continue to dominate.  Tear it up!!!

A skimmer afloat is but a submarine, so poorly built it will not plunge.

Subject: [PSUBS-MAILIST] International Submarine Races

I am a student at Florida Atlantic University on the Human Powered Sub

Team and we are leaving Saturday morning for a 20 hour drive to

Bethesda, Maryland for the International Sub Races.  I was wondering if

anyone else from here will be attending?

I know it doesn't quite fit in with some of the incredible subs you guys

build, but it is a sub.  Ours is a two man wet sub, this will be its

final race since it is now 16 years old.  When we get back from the

competitions we will begin design work for our new sub.

For more info on the sub races check out:
