David,
For the plug to make the fiberglass parts for "Persistence," I used
standard construction grade sheet Styrofoam but coated it with Plaster of
Paris and then dry wall spackling compound, also used in house
construction, to achieve the final shape. That was then waxed for a good
mold release. That all formed a protective barrier between the Styrofoam
and fiberglass.

Of what material was the original form created from as Styrofoam
dissolves with the application of fiber glass resin? POLYISOCYANATE?
The end product really is impressive! I would love someday to have these
skills.
