RE: [PSUBS-MAILIST] Convention Handouts feedback sought

Ray,

Personally I have never referred back to the printed materials. I'd suggest a CD per participant, with all files contributed by presenters. This allows presenters, if appropriate, to share material beyond just their Powerpoints. People might throw in materials specifications, vendor catalogs, spreadsheets, etc. and those sorts of thing I think would be much more useful afterwards.

Ive become so computer-bound that if I had anything worth keeping on a notepad, I'd scan it onto my hard drive. to avoid misplacing it.

thanks,

Alec

Ray,
I would prefer handouts of condensed slides if the presentation is via
PowerPoint or a paper if just an oral presentation (recognize that this may
be an issue for some presenters). Many of the presentations previously
given have been very valuable and it would be helpful to take notes on the
handout as the presentation is occurring. If handouts are available then a
binder would be an added benny that also includes a short list of
recommended local restaurants and other helpful information.

I am working hard on my presentations now; outlines are almost complete,
collecting images, and writing should start shortly.
Thanks!
Jay

Hi Gang,

In past conventions things like binders, papers, pens,
, presentations, bumper stickers, CD's etc were handed
out as you signed in. For those who have attended:

1. Have you found any of these handouts useful?

2. Have you ever refered to them after the convention?

3. Were there any handouts that were totaly useless
and do not need to be supplied at any further
conventions?

4. Is there a handouts that stood out as an
exceptional nice to have?

5. Any way the handouts could be improved?

6. Whould a note pad and pen be sufficient for your
needs?

7. Any other comments?

Thanks,
Ray
