Joe, I think it was a steel cylinder with dome forward for steering and big side windows (maybe domes?). I saw an article in Undersea Technology about the strain gauge tests and so on. They dipped the hull in open water, as it was easier than traveling cross country to a suitable tank. Vance
Vance.....I'm guessing lot's of acrylic then, either hull or domes.
Did a quick search on google images to see if I could find it being deployed from the yacht "Octopus". Didn't find it, would be interesting to see what that looks like.
