Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST]saturation diver lockout

At anchor in about 1,5 meter high over bottom on a 200 kg heavy lead anchor and a chain. The forward hard tank is inside the forward ballast water tank and direct
on top of the anchor.

The idear is to run the boat with 1,5 meter anchor and chain out in about 2 meter high over the seabottom to the right spot. That flooded the forward hard tank by some 200 liters(kg) so the anchor get heavy in the ground.

If the boat get lighter during the anchor period by different density of seawater
for example possible in the Baltic sea the anchor will hold it in place until 200 kg lift or force will be reached. If it get heavier some chain links goes down and balannce this a little bit.

Thats the general idear. Yes the exit is on the bottom and the hatch open to inside. The anchor chain and anchor is just direct forward the diver exit - so the diver gets an impression how many chain links are out. The first meters are in different coulors.

We will find later out what the best high will be - maybe 3 meter are better..

But the idear is that on 1,5 meter high the diver can stand upright on the ground and half in the chamber and his colleges can help him to get in/out of the breathing apparatus before he climb in or out to safe some human power.

best regards Carsten

For this reason we will clean our drysuit from the argon outside the chamber with rebreather gas before we went in. And not use the argon on shorter dives.
