"The system doesn't use a pump, but basically uses a steering wheel pushing a piston, like a two way master cylinder, piped to an exterior two-way cylinder connected mechanically to the rudder. Very low tech, and not prone to leaks"
......This sounds interesting but, I am unclear about the specifics. The master cylinder, is inside correct? ......And the thru hull, is passing fluid, or a piston?
Also, how does outside ambient pressure effect this master cylinder inside? Is there a point of diminishing returns with depth, or are check valves of some type employed?
Simple translation of above...how does this work?

Frank, Thanks, it would solve a couple of problems very nicely if I could put something like that into my K, instead of the rotating shafts. Vance

Hi Vance. I'll see what I can find. It was a while back when I saw them. Frank D.
