RE: [PSUBS-MAILIST] PSUBS Notice
I guess the main issue is that one doesn't necessarily think of taking a
moment to go check the forum. Is there any way the web forum can
generate email alerts to everyone when something is posted? In other
words we'd get email, but respond on the forum.

Alec, yes it means there is potential for overlap. In the past, there's
been considerable resistance to changing to a web-based forum by a large
number of participants here. However, there have also been calls to
create a web-forum. I imagine that sooner or later, one will win out
over the other. I personally enjoy the mailing list, but the webforum
definately has the benefit of categorizing discussions which can make
future reference of a particular topic a lot easier to locate.
One way to look at it is that if something interesting is posted in the
webforum, someone will likely provide a pointer to it just as they would
to an external site.
