KM makes an important point. Two men died in the JSL because she
became entangled in lines from a submerged destroyer off the coast of Florida
and could not surface. Streamline design is more about safety than
speed, in my book.
for me, the streamling
isn't so much for drag, as to reduce the risk of entanglement. it's always the
last thing you expect that gives you the most
grief.
