The best one I ever heard about this sort of thing was on a warbird 
mailing list.  Seems a guy had found a hell of a deal on a P-51: only 
$200,000.   He'd owned a SNJ, and wanted to go up the ladder.  He 
presented the matter to his wife (offering to sell the SNJ, of course).  
According to him, she smiled sweetly and said something like, "Of course 
you may have your toys, but I get to spend as much money on my toys." I 
don't know what finally happened.  Wives can be difficult, but, as we 
see from this tale, they can be managed -- it'll just cost a lot.
