Idiots our government is.
WHY reinvent the wheel??
All they had to do was order a few of the new German 212 subs and be done
with it. They're the quietest, most deadly subs in the world, and they're
also some of the cheapest to make.
Honestly, I'd like to give our military a bit more credit, and part of the
reason they discontinued the program was due to the new German AIP subs. No
point in wasting time and money when there's something better. I at least
HOPE this is what they were thinking. BUT, heck those new German subs are
old news really.
