Doug,

That's sad news. It must be terribly frustrating for him. However, looking on the bright side, were Bill Gifford to keep the Needlefish he could always enjoy the vicarious satisfaction of overseeing his son, and others who participated in construction, as they operate that beautiful submarine.

I remember reading that Bill expected to spend $60K out of pocket to build the Needlefish. Do you know if the $75K figure reflects the final investment?

Bill Gifford says he is selling his Needlefish for health reasons. His back has gotten so bad that he cannot bend and turn and squeeze into the small places without considerable back pain.

He said the real reserve is $75,000.00.
