Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST] Hydraulic thrusters
Hi,
I wonder if this is also possibele with pneumatic (air) motors in stead of
hydraulic.
The advantage: no inside noise and oil smell. Just a extra HP air bottle.

After looking into the magnetic cluth idea and finding it unlikely to work
for my needs I have turned all my efforts to a hydraulic system much like
the Cousteau's Diving Saucer "Soucoupe". I think a hydraulic system offers
a great deal of advantages especially for my design. With the 24V 1HP
electric motor inside the pressure hull turning a hydraulic pump, I will
only need to run two smal steel hydraulic lines through the hull to the
water thruster pump. I am now working on that system. Once I have a
working model I will be able to post my findings for others in the group.
