[PSUBS-MAILIST] I contacted e bay baby nautilus owner.

Hi Jim and forum.

I contacted the owner of the e bay baby nautilus. It does not look to me like two reinforcement rings are enough.

He never addressed the leaking viewport problem I mentioned other than to say it was designed after the delta sub.

He called the crank a "Hand crank" so that answers that it is not foot powered and that would mean you would have to lay prone or sit and lean over

and crank it by hand. Sounds uncomfortable and tiring. A battery powered drill for a motor? I guess that would be better than laying prone and cranking by hand,

but I would bet she would be VERY slow. Further his gauges in the photos do not appear to be readily accessable from a prone position or sitting and leaning over.

From their placement in the photos it appears you would have to change position to read all the gauges. That's inconvienient.

Here is our correspondence below.

Bill Akins.

Dear rickluvs2fly,

I noticed that the bolts go all the way thru the viewports which would cause leaks. I also am wondering if the
interior has reinforcement rings throughout. Where is the 14 volt motor
located and does it come with it? Could you advise please? Thanks, Bill
Akins.

Hi Bill. The viewports were disigned after the delta sub. There are two
1/2"
x 2" solid reinforcement rings inside. The 14volt motor is actually a
dewalt
drill thaty attaches to the hand crank.. I hope that helps   Rick
