Hi Ray.

It look like we have a very similar set-up.
My battery box is a 1atm 13.25" diameter pipe that hold, you guess it, 2 deep cycle lead/acid battery. To power 2 minn-kota endura 30...
What i did is that at the end of the pod. The end that is all welded, i drilled a 1/2" hole. I weld a 1/2" male pipe nipple over the hole. i then screwed a standard 1/2 pipe union and after the union there is a 90 deg pipe also screwed. I installed standard yellow connector on 4 wires. The connectors are in fact inside the pod. That is the trick!!! (oh my god... I'm so bright!) and the 90 deg pipe is filled with metal epoxy. so when you want to disponnect, you separate the piping union, pull on the cable to get the standards connectors out and unplugged them.
I have the exact same set-up for my leak detector exept that everything is 3/8" pipe.
I have 4 cables for the motor because it was less trouble using 2 cables for positive, 2 cables for negative, 1 for each motor. then using 2 huge cables!
Am I clear enough? Please tell me. I will try to explain again. I will try to post a picture of it but i don't have a digital camera.

Please. I would like details.

I am in need of cables for a semi-dry ambient sub but
really do not want to go through the trouble that Dan
Lance went through. Which from memory was quite
considerable. I'll have to get my DVD out from the
2004 convention and watch that lecture again.

The catch is that I am building a 1 atm battery box an
would like to put in a thru-hull connector that will
be usable as I graduate to other projects.
