Bill,

I don't know what it would take to build a full sized Nautilus, or even if it could be done.  After all, it is a fictional submarine.  I would imagine one would need a complete shipyard, and in that case I suppose this program would help to the extent that it would enable the user to turn the image around on his computer and see what it looks like from various angles.  It doesn't tell us things like how much all that stuff inside the submarine would weigh, though, or if the sub would even float with all those things in it.  This program is a "computer model" that someone made, and it allows us to examine the Nautilus to some extent on a computer screen.  As far as that being of much value to ship builder, I don't know.

I like it for what it is, but someone needing more information might be disappointed.  I don't think it was intended as an engineering reference.

Would you say this computer model would be helpful to anyone wanting to build a full size working replica?  Not that I would, just curious.

Bill,

I bought this program.  The interior is entirely from the program maker's own imagination, and does not actually represent the Disney Nautilus.  However, the sub does look very nice externally.  I was happy with what I got for my money, and can recommend it to others who are interested in this particular design..

Cheers!

If anyone ever wanted to actually build a full size replica working nautilus from 20,000 leagues beneath the sea, this would be the computer program to use. On sale at e bay for $19.00

It is a computer model and shows every brace and plate interior and exterior of the nautilus. Go here to check it out. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=140&item=6534428858&rd=1
