[PSUBS-MAILIST] MK9 escape suit photos---check it out ! ---

I have posted photos of the MK9 escape suit on image
shack and below I pasted in the links for each one
with desriptions. The suit has two sepearate hoods
which are shown in the photos of me wearing it. the
outer hood zips closed for the ascent to the surface.
There is a rip cord so that the person may remove the
outer hood once they are at the surfcae and use the
inner hood or "spray shield".I have tried to make sure
the descriptions are with the right pictures please
forgive any mistakes. Since the suit is now unpacked I
will take additional photos should anyone want to see
a paticular part more clearly.I think your email needs
to support html to have the links work correctly
otherwise you will have to paste them into your
browser.

These first 4 are all front views taken of me wearing
the suit.

Side view of boot before I inflated the suit. The
boots have velcro snug up straps and very thick soles
but Im not sure you would do much walking in it.

Pull cords for the CO2 cartridges which inflate the
suit. They were removed for shipping; replacement with
standard CO2 cartridges is necessary.

Large yellow deflation button and inflation point for
the built in life vest. The built in life vest is a
seperate chamber from the rest of the suit to make
sure you stay afloat if one of the outer layers is
punctured.

Front of suit just after unpacking and before I
inflated it.

This is a pic of the large air chamber located behind
the head so that even if unconscious your head will
stay above water.

These are the two manual inflation points located on
the right hand for easy access while wearing the suit.

Signal light is encased in acrylic so it can
withstand underwater pressures while surfacing.

This is the neoprene bonnet which zips up to make the
suit stay dry inside.

Suit has just been removed from bag and is not yet
unfolded.

 The right hand glove.
http://img157.echo.cx/my.php?image=rightglove29gb.jpg

Here you see the right hand of the suit with the
outer glove removed from the wrist pouch for
photographing.
These outer gloves are located in a pouch on either
wrist to give additional exposure protection. The outer
gloves are tethered so you cant lose them in the
water.
http://img26.echo.cx/my.php?image=rightglove5gz.jpg

I am holding up my right hand to display the soft
inner gloves. They seem to be made of either leather or
some kind of synthetic material similar to leather. The
inner gloves are made so that you can use your thumb
and index finger.
