Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST] Battery/motor pressurization

Hi Vance.

I know that you are answering my question about what was the black goo that you encased your fuses in. This sounds a lot like the stuff you can buy in a can that you dip your plier handles into and it makes a rubber handle cover for it. Actually
just about anything you dip into it, it will conform to and dries like rubber. Is this the same thing you are talking about and if not would the material I am talking about work probably just as well to prevent any exposed sparks from a fuse and keep them encased within
a closed rubber sheath?
Thanks,
Kindest Regards,
Bill Akins.

Not grease. It's a waterproof black material that dries into something like rubber. I forget the name of it, but it was a cheap fix. It bonded to the cable jacket. I always figured it was safe, but then again, I never had one blow. Vance
