Snoopy's tanks are strikingly different to other K boats I've seen. The bow is much shorter, and the stern ends in a flat "cutoff". Overall, I think Snoopy is at least two feet shorter than other K-250s. As I recall Dale said the tanks were off Kittredge's pedal-powered sub (or presumably it's molds). In any case, they do provide perfectly adequate lift, so there's no practical issues. But if I make myself some kind of custom tanks based on these, I have no idea whether they'll fit anyone else's boat. Owning an operating sub is killing my progress on building one. But I'm not about to whine about that, it's what one can describe as a nice problem! thanks, Alec -----Original Message----- From: VBra676539@aol.com [mailto:VBra676539@aol.com] Sent: Thu 12/23/2004 11:23 AM To: personal_submersibles@psubs.org Cc: Subject: Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST] Sub building business Alec, You know, I don't actually know whether the 250/350 tanks are different. They could well be, now that you mention it. I've tried a couple of things, and I think the easiest is some kind of flat fiberglas plate under the tank, screwed and RTV'd or something, with a standpipe arrangement six or eight inches long in the middle of it. I'll be thinking about it, certainly. Vance
