Funny you asked that one. In the days before the test, I happened to take a six hour cross-country flight. With nothing much to do and two batteries for the laptop, I wrote a checklist and test protocol that would make an ISO 9000 guy proud. When I emailed it to Mark that evening, he tactfully suggested it might be overkill. So it's probably better left forever in my junk folder. Instead of the checklist I just went with Mark's instructions. In a nutshell here's what we did: - Remove flood valve plugs - Check that hull flood valve is closed - Check that MBT vent valves are closed - Check that VBT vent valve is closed - Tie on a bow line - Walk the ramp to make sure its good until chest deep - Launch - Check for leaks - Do some surface runs - Check that scuba valves are open, read pressures, test emergency 2nd - Set reference needle on cabin barometer - Close hatch - Test comms That's it. I have a rough draft but there's room for improvement. -Peter Korwin ************************************************************************ ************************************************************************ ************************************************************************ The personal submersibles mailing list complies with the US Federal CAN-SPAM Act of 2003.
