RE: [PSUBS-MAILIST] My Sub design

Nice work. It's the same method Greg Cottrell used to make Solo's 1.5" thick, 31" diameter dome, except Greg's "mold" was made of wood. But what REALLY caught my eye was the gas turbine powered motorcycle!!! Some people really do belong in this group!

:)

	Alec,

The Dome was not cast but blown. I milled the mold from Aluminium plate.
There are some pictutes at www.AiResearch.nl / info rebuilt.

Hi Carsten, Did you cast that dome? If so I'm very curious how you machined the mold.

		cheers,

Emile and I just developt and produce together with a acrylic company a
about 2 feet dome good for 500 feet as replacement for Sgt.Peppers. Was
made it last friday ! Its about 1000-1200 euros, depents on size and
thickness. The exact figure is 570 mm outside diameter. We have now the
tool and can copy it. Will post some pictures to Moki in some days.

If you need a dome we have now the knowledge to make a good one.
If somebody want one - contact me off the list.
