Hi Mark /
Julian
glad to see there at
least two of us in the uk. if we can get the numbers up we could have our
own convention (slightly bitter because i can't go to Portland)
:(
personally i have a
'thing' about 1ATM subs, don't really know why, i had some interesting sinus
issues when i was learning to dive and i figured if i ever built something this
would be a good solution and a good challenge......when i've got the time
......and extra garage space............one day
Good luck with your
project, hope to see some pics soon on moki?
My ROV project is
nothing great, i've been working on it for a long time but it is coming along
slowly; its also being used as a springboard to advance my Basic programming as
i intend to use a Stamp to provide some intelligence to the vehicle.
My Design is similar
to the one at www.videoray.com and the
Benthic 'little geek' from The Abyss. Having searched all the net for
information on home builds, i was dissmayed to see they all look like bits of
drain pipe and although mine is no different, i'm determined to produce
something that at least looks the part.
kind of a proof of
concept with bells and whistles
Regards
steve

Sorry to bud in like this, but as it happens I am
also involved building ROVs
as well as AUVs. What sort of things are you
working on?
