RE: [PSUBS-MAILIST] P SUBS, Ambient air systems

Hi Seth,

Scrubbers are used mainly in an emergency case. You are free to use them or not...

To equalize pressure inside an dry or wet ambient design you can use a scuba regulator and "plug" it on the sub. The excess of pressure when you go to surface will go thrue the regulator. It will also put air inside the sub when you go down. You can also have a manual valve to change the air inside the sub if you stay at the same deepth for to long.

I hope this help!

Hey everyone.

Are C02 scrubbers a mandatory thing? where do I get them from? how does the air system work with out scrubbers--is it just a nozzle on a scuba tank letting fresh air out, and if it IS like that, doesn't that raise cabin pressure? I'm trying to fathom how the sealed environment works.

Seth

P.s. Sorry I don't know if that was a dumb question or not.
