Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST] Marine Shows

Hi Fly

I don't doubt that their are execelant sub builders on this list and I have benifited greatly from thier input, but seeing, touching, and shaking hands is what shows are about and what I am after.  I understand that most of us including myself have budgets that would not cover office supplys for Woods Hole, but (to me anyway) doing what the big boys do with penneys is what "PSubs" is all about.  I'd be building a wooden box with iron ballast if that was all my budget allowed.

I will not be able to make www.underwaterintervention.com recomended by Karl Luttrell looks like a fine opertunity.  I see that Karl Stanley ( http://www.stanleysubmarines.com/ ) will be there.

Does anyone else have a recomendation?

Kindest Regards
Doug Jackson

Greetings

I would like some recommendations for marine shows that would be of interest to submersible builders.  For example where do the oil companies go when they want to browse ocean drilling support equipment, rovs, etc.  Where do the current commercial sub builders display there wears?  Where do the commercial sub builders meet?

Thanks for the assistance. --Doug J

Dear Doug J

As astoundingly as this may sound, the real sub builders are right here.  The problem is that we have limited funds and are held back from using new technologies because the proof of their compatibility would fall on our shoulders.  This is economically impossible.
