Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST] Johnson-Sea-Link relative looking for movie

I did a search of the web also but didn't come up with anything. I found
some movie sites in Great Britain that list the film, but don't have any
info on how to order it (if that's possible).

If I could make an observation and recommendation however...any movie
production is conceived from an aspect of entertainment and potential
sales. Historical accuracy during production usually suffers and gets
edged out by what the director and producers think will make the movie
more interesting to the viewer.

I'd suggest descendants seek out official reports and eyewitness accounts
such as the official coast guard report, if they haven't done so already.
They might also collect the names of people who were involved with the
dive and rescue that day, and ask for an interview with them. This will
provide them with an accurate record of the events leading up to, during,
and subsequent to the disaster. As somebody already mentioned about
Clayton Link's widow, movies produced for entertainment rarely reflect
actual discussion, personalities, or events.

For what it's worth, the official Coast Guard/NTSB report on the
Johnson Sea-Link disaster is located at
