Hey. Since I tend to think of ways to adapt off-the-shelf and/or cheap stuff to my purposes, I just had a thought in reading this thread: would automobile airbags do you any good? It seems they could be readily acquired at scrapyards -- especially the informal, field-behind-the-barn kind which dot the landscape around these parts. They're compact, electrically-actuated, engineered to be pretty dang reliable I'd think, and probably don't give off anything flammable. What do you think? Anything good? ???
