Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST] Biber restored - another link.

Hi Ray - I have no idear - I just get a postcard from a friend in
England which say it was restored and back in the water.
In the artikel I send allready they saay it dived in a dockyard.

This Biber was captured in WWII with the driver killed by exhaust fummes
from the petrol engine but as a new boat and total undammaged. So yes it
could be opertional.

regards Carsten

With the model of the remanufactured Me262s in mind, is there
perhaps a market for Bibers of the same origin?

Mike Holt

Hi Mike - no I think there is no market - Its one year work and say
20.000 USD for material - Say asking price 100.000 - would anybody
purchase a crammped little boat for such amount of money ?
Build it for yourself ist 20.000 build it for a client ist
about 5 times more.

The Me's in the hand of aircraft-collectors and I know only one
submarine collector..

regards Carsten

Any first hand account of the handling characteristics? Any one solve the submerged stability or is this just a referbishment to original condition?
