Yeah, that is a good idea. I guess I should also try
to do some destructive testing to find out how thick
it would need to be for some "standard" size. I found
that there are actually companies that already make
"industrial sheeting" out of chopped tires. The stuff
is pretty cheap and about 0.5" thick. McMaster carries
the stuff, apparently, so I should be able to get
some to play around with. All I really know is that
you get paid a few bucks a tire where I live to TAKE
the tires.
