That is why I put double keels on the Undaunted....so I could sit on the seafloor in the shallows. I saw several WW I subs designed with double keels, and read that it was common for British and German boats to spend the night on the seafloor during WW I, so the crews could sleep. After that war, this practice was abandoned.... boats stayed in constant motion by WW II.
