Hmmm ....   I'd heard that the part of DC in which the museum is located
is a Bad Place for Civilized Folk.   A friend of mine grew up near there,
and swears now that even the cops stay out of that part of the city.

I'd hoped to do some legitimate historical research there, but someone
else told me that getting into it requires some work because of the
locals.

Putting the tales together, it seems to be in a practical sense off
limits to 
normals.

Oh, well.
