[PSUBS-MAILIST] Convention Update
Hello fellow psubbers,
The 2nd annual PSUBS.ORG convention is only two weeks away and I'd like
to update you with some information.
I am happy to announce that Mark Ragan, Hunley Project Historian, will be
attending and giving a lecture entitled "History, Recovery, and Excavation
of H.L. Hunley". Mr. Ragan not only acted as the Project Historian for
the Hunley recovery effort, he was also a night shift recovery diver.
Ragan is author of "The Hunley: Submarines, Sacrifice, & Success in the
Civil War" considered one of the definitive books on the H.L. Hunley.
He also owns a K-250 personal submersible and offers pilot training for
it.

The new PSUBS.ORG tee-shirts are in and look fabulous. I expect the
embroidered caps to be here next week. Those of you who pre-ordered
apparel will receive them at the convention. I will have a limited
supply of PSUBS.ORG tee-shirts (various sizes) and caps available for
sale at the convention for $19.00 (US) each. Please plan ahead because
these will be sold CASH ONLY, no exceptions.
----------
We still have room for speakers. If you know someone who would like
to speak at the convention, please have them contact me at
jon@psubs.org

Please note that the Amoskeag Fishways and Learning Center is located
directly behind the hotel. Admission is free. A hydro-electric dam
necessitated the installation of a fish ladder for herring, shad,
lamprey, and salmon. The site includes a visitor center with a large
viewing area under the water level to watch fish jump the ladder.
