Just vent the tank inboard. All the Perry classes with variable ballast pumping systems used inboard mounted fiberglas vbt's vented to a telltale to show overflow. Later, Mike Stahle has used externally mounted hard tanks piped through the hull to do the same thing, with the added bonus of being able to blow them with hp air if necessary. Vance
