RE: [PSUBS-MAILIST] OSS Modeling Ideas



This is a very good question, best addressed to the battery manufacturer.
Depending on the depth, you might be better served to enclose the batteries
in pressure vessels.  Partial equalization could be achieved, but if you are
going to subject the battery cases to anything over 3 atm, I would think
they would crack or at the very least deform the case.

I guess I prefer something that can't leak. What about
a glass micro beads? I have seen them used for things
like this, and they are pretty cheap. Forget the epoxy
I mentioned earlier, it would work but would be a one
time deal. What kind of equal pressure can a sealed
gel cell take?
