I think I have a fishing lure in my tackle box that looks like this.

Forgive me for poking a little fun at the design. I'm sure it functions
and performs as intended, but wouldn't there be a concern about
snagging or entanglement in  kelp, fishing/gill nets, and any
other possible flotsam floating on or below the surface? The appendages
seem static and not retractable or moveable. Perhaps a light weight
faring could be fashioned around it to stream line it?
