Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST] air pressure

Well Struijs,
with commercial submersibles, the batteries are in pods on the outside of
the sub, and inside is only 1 athmosphere. When pressurising diving bells,
you have high PP02,and the bell or chamber is constructed with cable and
lights explosion proved with cables and wires having special
connectors.March & Marine is a common brand connectors used in the
commercial field.
Other gidelines you will find under ABS Standards "Pressure
vessels for human occupancy" Thouse are the gidelines for the USA.
In other countries you have other classification agencies, with similar
gidelines. In case you would like to have your sub insured, allways get
a classification, ( Inspection from the governing body ).
Or be a true pioneer.
Best regards, Michael.
