RE: [PSUBS-MAILIST] Wet sub
No te preocupas (don't worry) about it, that's been a bugaboo for a while.
I'm curious about your Minn Kota trolling motor. How many pounds of thrust
does it provide? If you have a model number, that would help too. I'm
trying to build a DPV/wet sub hybrid for one person, and I want it to go
fast. What are you using for your ballast tanks? One would think that
there would be enough surplus military aircraft wing tanks to build a
thousand submarines, but I've never even seen a source for these. Standard
drop tanks would be fine, and there's got to be tons of these somewhere. I
heard that some unit of United Technologies bought out all of the canopies
for the T-33 jet trainer (do a Google image search to see a picture). They
were said to be stacked from the ceiling to the floor. These would be
perfect for a two man submarine, but I have been unable to find where they
are stored. Does anyone out there know where they hide all this stuff?
Thanks,
