RE: [PSUBS-MAILIST] Run Silent, Run Cheap-Shot - PLEASE KILL THIS THREAD

Hi, Pat;

Just personal preference. I guess I'd rather see more discussions of the
technical problems that we as sub builders have to overcome (choice of
materials, power sources, propulsion systems, control systems, etc.) rather
than spending so much time discussing a single magazine article and its
ramifications. Not that the article doesn't give personal submersibles a
higher profile (which could have both good and bad implications that are
important to the PSUB community). IMHO, these have been dealt with
adequately by the preceding posts, and we might consider moving on. Just a
suggestion, and just my opinion. The group belongs to all of its members,
and they can do as they please.

By the way, is there a group dedicated to DPVs (diver propulsion vehicles,
or "tuggers")? What about wet subs? While I am both interested in and
impressed by the efforts of all PSUB members to build dry subs in the face
of the challenges that depth poses, such efforts are beyond my technical
capacity and financial resources. The posts that I've seen so far deal
almost exclusively with dry sub building. To each his own, and I salute you
guys. Maybe as membership in the group grows, wet subs will be better
represented.

I'm a newbie here, no offense intended.

Thanks,

Terry L. Davis

martlet1,

Why do you want the thread killed?
