In the recent "Clever Gear" catalog, on page 35 is a nice little
device that provides a compass, thermometer and battery 
level display.   

It's a Digital Car Compass.   There's a 12v plug and a remote
sensor for outside temperature.   The display is about 5 inches
by four inches.   On the display is a graphic image of compass
direction with the "exact" direction in degrees, and three sets 
of numbers.   The top number is the source battery voltage; the 
other two are external and interior temperature.   It can display 
in metric!  

Never really seen it; have no interest in the company beyond
the amusement offered.   This sort of thing might work very
well for something like the AquaSub.
