agreed, we were also taught in scuba class that holding ur breathe (even from 2m) and ascending would burst ur lungs.
trivial for hulls, but not lungs :)

our poor soft and gooey body tissues. especially if that 
pressure comes on suddenly...
I also am pretty sure that you could get a nasty case of 
lung squeeze at that depth.
