It gets better: it was actually done several times. In the UK, someone
actually built and flew a steam-powered DeHavilland biplane trainer.
I think the Soviet Air Force played with the idea in the early 20s.
The all-consuming problem with steam power seems to be the
excess heat. I wonder if it'd be worth it to wrap a thermocouple
around the stack?
I think hijackers should be boiled in the steam.
