I works fine, but I think it would do better in the dark if the IR source was separate from the camera. Its IR source is just 6 IR Leds that surround the camera lens.

I paid $240 (from The Sportman's Guide), but I wonder if I could get an IR camera and build my own housing and IR light source for less.
