The US has over 400 ships from subs to aircraft carriers up for disposal, no
end of potential wrecks for those needing one. They cant export the retired
ships as there is a federal ban so they need a home somehwhere in the
States.
I represent a group in NZ doing just that, sinking a retired navy frigate as
an underwater attraction
