Hi Alec,

please try to get a book from "CLAUSS/LEHMANN/ÖSTERGARD" ... it´s about offshore constructions. In this book are a lot of formulars regarding wave forces acting to structures.
I know ths book from my study ( the german book) but I´m sure you will also get it in English.

As I remember, the formulars for the energy transfer from wave to the structure depends on the condition "hydrodynamic compact structure" or "hydrodynamic open" ... there are also formulars for bounded bouys, half-diving riggs and more...
