Jay,

For what it's worth, I wrote a number of programs that shows the problems 
with exposure to higher ambient pressures. It is basically a decompression 
program. I wrote a number of them based on the math models behind the US Navy 
dive tables as well as a few of the dive computers on the market. I can send 
them to you if you are interested. If you actually use them do so at your own 
risk.

If your SCUBA course glossed over the effects of pressure, it sounds like a 
poor course. PADI?
