I use AutoCad 2002. Also for 3D i find it ok. If you want to design a car or
a yacht there are better packages, but subs are mostly a combination of
basic elements (cilinders, spheres, cones and so on). Whatever package you
choose, make sure the drawings can be exported as DXF. For small series the
actual costs are not in the manifacturing but in the preperation.
Programming a cnc machine is a piece of cake with a dxf-file.
