I'm new to this but could you have a backup fan using
one of those 'personal fans on a rope' that Walmart sold for
a dollar.  I remember back when I was reading about diesel-
electric subs in WWI and II that they often had elctrical heaters
but would only use them on the surface since they drew too much current.
Storage battery electricity was to be hoarded except for propulsion.
