Maybe not very 'shapeable', but you might be able to get this
to work for you...

Perhaps you could take small sections of PVC pipe, with endcaps
glued on, and encase that in some fiberglass resin.  Based on
the size of the volume that you're trying to consume, you could
use larger pieces of PVC pipe.

Given that you're talking about an ambient sub (right?), you're
depths probably won't be that great, so the PVC might be able
to handle it pretty well.

I don't know what the chush depth of a hollow capped section
of PVC might be, but it might be worth looking into, depending
on your requirements.
