I'm Removing the composite poles from the motors, and I'll tell you this, IT
SUCKS! The composite poles are made of fiberglass and when you chip it out
of the hole, the fiberglass gets everywhere.. and it gets into your shin and
Itches worse than any insulation fiberglass I have ever felt. But!!! I got
it all out, and they look great... I just pretty much followed Carl's
instructions, and I cut the composite off at about 3 inches from the base of
the hole, and then took a 2 pound sledge and hammered the hell out of the
end until it was all mashed up. Then I took a flat head screw driver & a
regular hammer and chiseled it out of the base, and got it all out. Looks
great, all I need to do is get a Tap and clean out the threads.
