Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST] End Caps

Graham if you are serious about designing a submersible, your best bet is to
order the ABS book titled "Rule for Building and Classing Underwater
Vehicles, Systems and Hyperbaric facilities. See Psubs web site under
Books. For anyone interested in designing a submersible, this should be one
of the first books you read (right after Busby). It reviews the hull
calculations for components such as hemispherical and elliptical caps,
cylinders and conical sections in a straight forward manner. It goes over
ever major system in a one-atm. boat required to have the boat classed by
ABS. Reading this book will end up saving you a lot of time and answer a
lot of questions.
