Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST] Update on Busby Books

Hi Burno,

"Manned Submersibles" by Frank Busby was written in the mid 1970's. It gives
a very comprehensive view of the submersible world at that time. It covers
specs of about every submersible know in operation at the time. With chapters
about bouyancy, through hulls, connections, battieries, trim systems,
life support....

Consider "Manned Submersibles" the Bible of submersible industry. Though it
is getting dated it has a remarkable wealth of relavant information for
today's PSUBer.

Regards,
Ray

P.S. I would change "forbidden to discuss" to "discourage working Busby
deals" on the alias. The first time SeaLord hinted at receiving
Busby's we quickly had a feeding frenzy on the alias. Like throwing
a bloody carcass into a school of piranhas. It wasn't pretty and choked
     the alias.

I encourage thoughtful, intelligent conversations on the material
found in "Manned Submersibles". The frenzy stuff please keep off line.

been really good about keeping this administrative stuff off of psubs.org...lets
keep up the good work.
