[PSUBS-MAILIST] deep water tests - release machanism

According to my old school atlas the Bodensee has a
depth of 252 mtr. Lake Geneva is 310 mtr. deep. These are sheltered waters
in which you could test a 100 mtr. sub. If you want to go deeper you would have
to go to the Mediterranean.
I think it would be wise to strip the sub
completely. Or even better, don't even buy the motors, air tanks and
electronics before you have tested the pessurehull.
Talking about hartbeat. I think you need some
tranquilisers when you see your sub disappear is the deep blue sea and you sit
there waiting for the bubbles to come up.
